...snip...To those that think that a ten year old Foretravel has outdated equipment. It only goes to support that some members simply know nothing about Class A Motorhomes.
Without a doubt a ten year old Foretravel is a very nice rig and I can see how you're getting your shorts in a bunch. Simple truth is back then they came with most 2 slides. Now newer ones can come with up to four slides. So yes, technology has changed, and it does have outdated equipment/design but that doesn't make it a bad coach.
For some, it might make more sense to buy a cheaper made four slide MH then an older designed high quality limited slide Foretravel. If you have a family that takes a two week vacation once a summer, then a half dozen weekend trips with a round trip of 200 miles why would you want a 10 year old Foretravel when for the same money you could buy a much newer equipment/design mid level four slide coach.
As a sidebar, IMO the first 10 years are normally trouble free years. After 10 years is when problems start to appear. Slide gaskets start to leak, cap joints loosen up, hydraulic lines start to develop leaks, dual pain windows fog up, cooling coils on fridges start to corrode, toilets start to leak, computer boards on HWH's start to fail, plastic vents and AC covers break from UV, etc... but like you said some of us know nothing about Class A's
