I think the highest temp in Death Valley was over 130 degrees (maybe the record in north America) ... don't feel like googling it, my fast computer is down.
Anyway, it's hot enough there that you could probably cook a cow in the heat of the summer! LOL! And, they DO get rain, only about 2.5-3.0 inches a year. There have been years where they get ZERO rain.
They are 200 ft. or so below sea level which is excellent for golfing....they say (I don't golf).
Death Valley is a harsh place depending on the time of year. Be careful out there!
