When we first started shopping for a DP, a mid entry was on my "gotta have" list.
It just didn't stay there long. There are terribly few mid door DP's.
And putting the door in the middle takes a LOT of space out of the interior.
Ours has an electric step cover, hit a button and DW has somewhere to put her feet.
After 4 years, I'm still trying to train her to crank that cover in when I pull into a campground or up to a gas pump. (I miss my drivers door too!!!)
I've had the door awning fail twice, it is currently broken again.
And even when it works, it's small, and there is a rainy gap between it and the main awning.
DP's have front doors. Nature of the beast for the most part.
