I have a 26.5 RV and travel between Washington DC and FL quite a bit. In some parts of FL it can be a little difficult finding parking at local beaches in the Melbourne area because the area has built up so much. Not much in the way of open beach along A1A that I remember from the 80"s. In general through I have had no problem and just go further north or south (I have family in Melbourne). I noticed the parking lots often have the concrete dividers that make it difficult for you to take only two spots. But further away from the stores there is more open spots. The parking spaces them selves are nice and wide so for example in the DC area I need four spots and in FL I need only two. Some times I rent a car if I am going to spend a lot of time running around in the city (town?) visiting. But there is plenty of places visit where a 26' would not be a problem. Much has to do with what you want to see.
