Class C Coachmen Leprachaun F350 vs. V10

The first has I believe a 362 hp engine and e350 e450 is 305hp.
I too like the 210rs, but don't like the lack of a window on the slide. I dunno how u get ventilation back there? Also no enclosed hook ups, tanks. Other than that was nice. I have a v10 in my starflyte.does fine.

Look on the inside of the drivers door jamb for the Ford vehicle label. That give the vital statistics of that chassis, some will need decoding. Our VIN # starts with 1FDX E45... ours is an E450. The GVWR will also tell you. The E450 will have a GVWR of 14050 or 14500 (if newer than 2008). If it's on a Chevy chassis, I can't relate to numbers, but Chevy's don't have a V10.

Answering your question, yes the V10 is more than capable. On ours, it barely knows that the CRV is back there.

If the salesman can't give you anymore details about the chassis, I'd be very wary about trusting what he has to say.

There's a difference between the E/f350 and what engine is installed. The E350 relates to the chassis size and weight. V-10 is the engine size. I've got v-10s in both my E450 motorhome and my E350 passenger van. Van pulled a 9000lb trailer over the west coast mountain passes without a problem. E350 is rated at 1 ton cargo, same as the chevy 3500s. Desert Captain, counting cylinders in an E series van isn't as easy as it sounds.
I was dissapointed with the towing capacity of the the motorhome, but looking underneath the unit, I can see why the limitation. I've seen lots of people towing race cars, so I assume they beef up the frame to compensate. My van is rated at 10k so it's not the drive train.
if you are unsure of the configuration, find a vin converter and it will tell you what's in there.

Many E-350's came with the V-10. If you still have any doubts open the hood and count the cylinders. I am not aware of any other 10 cylinder engines in a Class C. The V-10 is more than capable of towing a Jeep as long as you stay within the limits GCWR/hitch and axle maximums. Some Jeeps are close to 5,000# and many smaller Class C's are limited to 3,500# of towing capacity. Good luck.
