Now there is also the Itasca Viva that is interesting, don't know if that is labeled class A or C.
I didn't look at each floor plan in your list, but pulled up the Viva since I wasn't familiar with it. I definitely buy into the "floor plan is top priority" camp. We selected solely based on floor plan (if I had my choice and all the $$ in the world, I'd like a high end version of our floor plan, but we're totally satisfied even though we have an entry level unit). I can't think of anything negative about our floor plan. We like the rear corner bed; we love the dinette and couch across from each other which creates a living room area; we love not having a slide; we love the short size; we love the tons of sleeping spaces if needed; we like the nine seatbelts if needed; we love having two spots to stretch out and relax on rainy days (bed + couch); we love using the overhead bunk for overflow luggage or oversized items (metal detector) that don't need to be moved unless needed (since we have a fixed bed ready to go at night); and I could go on. To each their own, but we feel like we bought our last RV first.
So, I think the Viva 23L has really cool layout. It's like a slightly shrunken version of ours. The bed is only 49" wide...5" narrower than a full or 10" wider than a twin. Okay for a couple, but probably better for a single traveler (IMHO). The length is 1'9" shorter than ours which is mostly saved by only having one bench at the dinette and the shorter couch.
I agree with those that say to really spend some time and think about how you would use the spaces. It's nice to go to RV shows just for fun and ideas, but to always come home knowing there's nothing you'd rather upgrade to. I sure hope our RV lasts a LONG time! :)
