RVTrader, there is a used 2016 26RS with an asking price higher than you are hoping to buy your new 2017. The 2016 is on a Ford Chassis though, not sure if that makes that big a difference.
We bought our 2009 Jayco Greyhawk new for 26% less than MSRP. It was a few years before used 2009 Greyhawks had asking prices less than what we paid new. I think what you hope to do is feasible if the RV Market stays the same. If I were in your shoes, I'd put it on the market for what I paid and see how it goes.
