C'mon back, honey; Give it some gas!

My shop once recovered a tour bus from a city park swimming pool that was sitting about like that. We used two twin boom rotator trucks to lift the rear end up after a diver placed the cables and spreader. Fortunately there were no passengers on board at the time, and the driver apparently had a heart attack while parking the bus. I wonder how the above situation occurred...
