Thanks, do you need to buy any application to make the maps work?

You can try for free. Download what maps that you need. After trying, I did upgrade to the paid version. Just make sure you check your route settings. Mine was on shortest and was giving me weird routes until I changed it.

Under settings, (once you've downloaded the app) go to My Maps and choose the map you want to download.

And, at least on the Mac iOS side, CoPilot downloads all the maps during the install so you do not need an internet connection to use it.

Suggest you go to Google Play .. as I recall it cost about $7.
