coach battery draining

According to my panel, my coach batteries show 100% charge after running the engine. However, after less than 4 hours they are almost completely drained. I have checked to make sure no lights or anything is on that may be causing the batteries to drain so quickly. And I had the batteries tested at a local Autozone and they said they were fine.

Any ideas what may be causing the battery drain ?
  • The OEM battery status devices that come with many RVs are worthless - relying on them to determine battery status maybe a mistake. Consider letting your battery rest for at least 4 hours and measure the voltage at the battery (multimeter works) - there should be plenty of tables on line which will tell you the status of your battery based on the voltage you read.
  • A way to determine the amp draw is to hook up a meter between ground and the negative battery terminal. Then you just pull fuses, or throw circuit breakers, until you find what is drawing the current.
Did they disconnect each battery when they were tested at Autozone? If they left them connected together, they did not get an accurate reading.
