In reality both Coachnet and GoodSam are call centers. If they link you with a great service station the service will be great. If you are not in a contract area or the service people are lazy/non-responsive you will be dissatisfied. When I called CoachNet with a hydraulic jack problem they connected me with a phone technician who read the same manual I had in my had to me. No help at all. Then they tried to find a mobile mechanic up in the Port Angeles area of Washington on highway 101. They ended up sending a home (brick and mortar type home) handyman who was helpful as we read the manual together, he did the hard work, and we released the fluid port, the jacks came up, and we added some more fluid. If I was not working with him and if I did not have the manual I think he would have been useless. Oh, and I was told I would have to pay $50 for the call...he was not informed of this payment schedule, and I happily paid his fee of $60/hr or $120 to get back on the road. I then canceled CoachNet.
I now have Good Sam. When I called them in Indio on a Sunday afternoon they found a Motorhome/Big Rig commercial mobile service to come out. It took them about 20 minutes to locate an appropriate service. The truck would take about 2 hours to reach me as it was on a prior call. As luck would have it, fellow RVers on site were able to fix the problem long before the truck arrived, and we cancelled the call before the driver was inconvenienced. But, I was pleased with Good Sam's response, so I will keep them...for now.
