COE Cg charging $20 to dump

I've seen people dump on their farm land. 1 week later and most of the yuck is gone.

A storm drain is not the same as a SANITARY drain. The storm drain may go to a lake or retention pond. The sanitary drain goes to a sewer treatment plant.

We worked at a private cg, and they stopped taking outside dumps at all. They were on a septic and after a 20K upgrade was needed they stopped outside dumping.

It disgusts me when I hear of something like that. I have never seen it happening but I have cleaned up a couple of dump stations on occasion before I would (or could) use them. The campgrounds should install a "trail cam" which would give them solid proof, then the campgrounds could charge the people the cost of cleaning it up. Of course, people like that would probably steal the camera.

It is an insult to all of us. If you noticed, not once did I refer to them as "campers". They are not worthy of the description.

First time for me too. But I do not see any problem with the charge.

No different than people bringing huge bags of household garbage with them and immediately putting them into the campground dumpsters.

Who should general camping fees be raised to compensate for disposing of free loaders waste and trash that wasn't generated at the campground?

I will just dump in the morning thank you very much.

. This charge is not for non campers, it is for paid campers $25 / night or $13.50 with your senior pass. The $20 charge is if you have to dump first before you camp. I have seen dump fees for non campers just never saw this before and didn't no if was common or just a new trend or what. It looked like a nice CG right on the water, nice visited center.

Used to camp at this park that had a lot of seasonal and year-round campers, one of whom endeared himself to management when they caught him dumping into the small creek behind his site. That creek fed into the pond about 100 feet downhill. Yum, boy.

(Yes, they did evict him and invite him never to return.)

I've seen some Cruds who will dump anywhere including going down the road. I usually dump at A CG or Camping World or Pilot-Fishook TS. Easy to do, legal and you get water to rinse. I don't believe in polluting the environment because I fish and have Grandkids. Want to leave a Legacy for them.
