coiling methods for 30 amp cord and fresh water hoses

I use one of these for a water hose. I installed a length of 5" square PVC fence post in my basement. The hose slides right in. My shore power cable (detachable) I coil and place in a plastic bin. My circuit tester goes on top of it, and wheel chocks on top of that. When I am ready to set up, out they come in reverse order: 1) wheel chocks, 2) circuit tester (to make sure the outlet at the pedestal is working properly before I plug in), and 3) the power cable. Works for me.
