I-2, I agree with the Wizz!
this question comes up a lot
and i have never figured out WHY ?
engines are made by companies that have been in buisness for years
suspension parts, transmissions same thing
all the appliances, A/C, heaters, pumps, lights etc same thing
when you buy a house, does it make any difference IF the builder is no longer around,
just like a car.. the only thing specific to the vehicle is body parts made by the MFG
not everything else inside and out - MrWizardModeratorthis question comes up a lot

not everything else inside and out - jplante4Explorer III had a similar worry when we bought the Sahara. Safari and SMC were absorbed by Monaco and the line discontinued. What I found during my research is that the body parts are available from several surplus yards and the components such as furnaces and refrigerators are standard to the RV industry and parts are readily available.

Mr and Mrs. Farmer,
What engine does it have?
MM. - Bruce_BrownModeratorAnd today's F150 isn't like the older ones either. :h
If it fits your needs and budget buy it and enjoy it. - L_farmerExplorerThis is what we've been thinking, just was wondering if anyone had had problems. The new Navagator is not like the older version
- aslaksonExplorerMost if not all of the components of the "home" part are off the shelf and made by companies other than the RV manufacturer and are readily available. If the RV was built on a regular chassis rather than their own custom chassis, then those parts are also easily found. Ditto the engine and transmission. windows and windshield, running lights, etc. In short, unless you need to replace a body panel or brand-specific decal, you'll probably have no problems.
Our rig has been orphaned for a few years now, and so far we've had no problems getting parts replaced. Most of them can actually be found on Amazon if you know what you're looking for.
al - midnightsadieExplorer IImost the guts are made by other companies, and the chassis by some one else should not be a problem, rv names change yearly.
