Compressor, inflation chuck, and pressure gauge info needed
I just posted about the rough ride on my 450 Chevy chassis Class C. Thanks for all the helpful input on what to do.
Clearly it's important to be able to check and adjust tire pressure as needed.
So I need a pressure gauge, at minimum. Recommendations?
I would prefer to have a small portable compressor that will run off either 12V or 120V, to take along. Is there such a thing? I looked at the ViAir on Amazon but am flinching at the price. I'm more of a Harbor Freight price person :D Harbor Freight has a bunch of them but I'm a little clueless on which would be best, and how to put together the setup I need. If the higher priced one is absolutely worth the money, I will get it, but not unless there is a good reason.
I have one of the 12V power packs that is suitable for jumping a car and charging electronics, and works great. It also includes a compressor, but I'm guessing that wouldn't cut it for a RV tire. Am I right?
Stupid question because dads don't teach girls these things---how does an inflation chuck connect to the hose, and how does the hose connect to the compressor?
Any recommendations on a brand of inflation chuck?
