I have done it twice.
the first time it pulled the cord out of the junction box (the rear tire ran over it), and I just had to reinstall it.
The second time I didn't run over it, but drug it five miles to town. I had to replace it. The RV parts store I went to didn't have the correct 30 amp cord, but they had an extension cord that worked nicely.
The 10 gauge wire from the old cord worked great to wire the power and brake line to the 7-pin trailer connector on the truck!
