I've had both. The gas ovens are REALLY small and tend to get really hot on the bottom. A lot of campers put a pizza stone in there to distribute the heat better.
Our microwave convection is off by 15-20 degrees so I'd recommend getting an oven thermometer to check the temps so you can adjust cooking times.
