The coach: 2002 Fleetwood Southwind 32V on a Ford F53 V10 chassis.The converter does not seem to be charging the batteries, regardless of power source.But, I can't find the fool thing! All I can find is the Power Distribution Center (PDC-3009). That, of course, is nothing but a breaker/fuse box.Does anybody know where they hid the converter?UPDATE: FOUND IT!There is a drawer underneath the frig, with 2 small grilles in the cabinet under the drawer. The PD 9155 converter is hidden under there. I found that it has one 30 amp and one 20 amp DC fuses. They are supposed to be both 30 amp. It does have power at the cord, and it is drawing power. I need to take my Fluke out and verify the output, and if there isn't any, replace the fuses even though they look good. If that doesn't fix the problem, it may be time for a new converter.

I don't have the same mh that you have, however, my converter is behind the drawers which are between the under sink cabinet and the power fuse center. If you have any drawers in that area remove them and look around with a flashlight. Hope this helps.

You may find that the converter is behind the distribution panel on my winnie with the F53 thats where it is located. Make sure you kill all power before pulling it. When mine went I replaced it with the upgraded model with more amps. Good luck

On our Bounder 08 the converter is tucked up behind one of the bedroom drawers.

look for your fuse and breaker panel. chances are the converter will be hidden close by.

I think the builders/designers just love to mess with us. On my gulfstream it was located under the dinette seat, in my HR it's located in a front basement compartment, opposite side from the batteries. Hopefully someone with the same RV as you will come along eventually... the rest of us are just guessing...

You have a replacement converter. the OE converter is a "WFCO". Some people have more trouble with the Progressive Dynamics converters then other brands, some have very good luck with them. A C**p shoot as to which one you get.

The Owners Manual says the output should be 13.6 volts at 55 amps.
Again, it is a PD-9155.
The output drops to trickle charge when the batteries are fully charged.

Reading these forums I have come to believe the name of the game at many factories is "Where can we hide it"

Fuses (And fuse/breaker panels)
GFCI's
and of course the converter.

The other game is "How can we make it inaccessible so it can not be serviced.

And that not only applies to the RV industry but to many others.. Dr, Jordan Kare even wrote a song about it (The Engineer) The last line:

"Success at last, I've designed a part that can't even be cast".

Yup, it applies at all levels.

the output should be 13 volts with no connection on the output. When you connect it to the house batteries, the output should go to 14.4 volts, and start tapering down in 2 stages until it reaches 13.4 volts. I have the converters act the way you describe before, and that was an indication that the converter was dying. If I were you, I would go on the net and order a new one with 55 to 65 amps output, at least 3 stage converter. If your converter is original, it is a 45 amp output. We leave our MH plugged in when not in use, and the converters seem to last 4.5 years for us.

I replaced the fuses, and the output is over 13 VDC.
It seems to be working.

mine was in compartment under fridge vent ,opposite side from batteries.check near your outside plug ins good luck ken

I know for sure it is not behind the PDC-3009; that's the first place I looked.
It is not behind the grille underneath the kitchen range, that's the furnace.
I haven't looked behind the bedroom drawers, I'll try that. Nor have I looked behind the drawers under the hall closets.
I have cleaned underneath the dinette seats, it isn't there.
It also isn't under the couch.
