- mlquiltsExplorerGeez! I really didn't expect a reply to my post that quickly. Thanks! The reason I want a dinette and not the free-standing is for safety reasons when driving, along with having extra storage under the seats. Am I over thinking this?

It seems to me that the booths could just be screwed to the floor, and one can still buy the tried-and-true "swing down" hardware for the table top. The table leg is attached to the bottom and folds away when in the down position. - BumpyroadExplorerlots of folks want to convert the other way. perhaps you could work out a swap? I thought that there was a place in Elkhart that sold "stuff" like this.
bumpy - fighterpilotaExplorerI'm interested in this situation as well. I know there are used booth dinette sets available and if there is room I plan on removing either a sofa, if there are two up front, or the free standing dinette table and chairs. Usually their location doesn't lend itself to replacing the table and chairs because of the additional width from the wall needed for the booth. But a 38 inch booth dinette would work. Just don't know how to fasten every thing down.
- Artum_SnowbirdExplorerCertainly it can be done. The purpose of the dinette is something to consider. If you want seating for four, with a large spacious table from the wall out, and an easy system for lowering the table into a bed, I would suggest you google "Dream Dinette".
However you may want a wrap around dinette and want to put little ones along the wall side of the table. The table top becomes smaller, but there is seating for one or two smaller people.
