Coolant leak

I went to top off my radiator while cold and now see a dripping coming down over the tranny area, I know it's not from my plastic bottle, but where and why would it drip out while all is cold ? I was planning on leaving Vegas in the morning to cottonwood AZ now I'm freaking out
Any ideas ? After cottonwood I'm home, should I try to make it by adding water when needed ?
Or the fact that it's dripping while cold a bad sign.
Pulling into Vegas my temp dropped to cold, so I added water and it went back up a little, then when checking into the park,( turned motor off) I was told there was a large puddle after I pulled through
I've looked at hoses and do not see anything ?m
Help ?
Thanks
Eric

  • Eric,

Please tell us what chassis and coach you have. My "front engine access area in the bedroom" applies to a diesel pusher.
  • I looked under the engine cover, saw nothing but had the system flushed a month ago and was told the timing chain cover looked wet, but not leaking ? Could that be it ?
    Timing chain cover sounded weird
  • Eric,

Wish we could help by remote control, but bottom line is that you will need to determine the source of the leak. Start by accessing the engine compartment from the bedroom. If two access panels, start with the front one (front of coach).
