The Acrylic is for corian to corian

Have you tried addressing this directly to the Manufacturer? I'm not sure who is the mother company but when our nephew ordered it for lab table where he worked, he bought the adhesive at the same time.

Chemically there is no difference between gluing two saw cut edges and two broken edges, from the supplier should work.so the glue

If you don't care how it looks, simply use a quality glue like Gorilla Glue. A LITTLE goes a long way and it will swell when applied, so use sparingly. Contact Cement works well also. I am a cabinetmaker and the above pic is a countertop of a job that broke in transit. It was glued with the proper tinted 2 part glue and when I finished sanding it out (2000g) the 2 glue lines totally disappeared. In a place that won't be seen, regular epoxy will work-do not use Gorilla glue!

With what? is the question, We were surprised that the Corian was only 3/8th" thick.

Call is in to Newmar to see if they can supply a replacement part. If that fails we will support it from below by gluing the whole thing to a sheet of plywood and return it to service. (maybe a sheet of 1/8th" aluminum sheet)

I see yours is a model year 2000. Are you sure thats Corian? The reason I ask is I believe around that time WilsonArt (if I remember correctly) got into the counter top business and Newmar used a bunch of it. Unfortunately most of it turned out to be less than advertised.

Then again if it just became a problem now, it probably wasn't the off brand stuff.

yep, gorilla glue sucks as a glue. works by reacting with moisture and expands to hold. works for situations where compression holds but if there is any chance of movement/wiggle the bubbles will burst and will not hold. I glued a cane handle on to the shaft and worked great at first. then continuous wiggling it kept expanding the hole and eventually would just pull off.
as far as thickness of corian goes, at one time Newmar used two different ones in their counter tops. a very thin veneer on the economy models and thick in the upscale models. I saw several new units at the dealer with the thin stuff that already had developed a crack at the sink corners, etc.
