You will collect snow on the roof either way so why not cover? Only down side to covering is possible wind flap which I resolved by bungee cording small half full jugs of water on bottom edge of tarp. Save your money and buy a heavy duty tarp. It will hold up better than a fancy cover and is easy to use. Get a tall poll with a spike at the top. Using the eyelets of the tarp lift and walk front to back with one person on each side. If it were me I would run a small ceramic heater and maybe an electric dehumidifier with drain tube to outside. Best of luck
