I cracked 2 manifolds and was told to put this on my 5.9. What they do is simply keep the exhaust bolts torqued at right psi. Which torque should be to spec and even with each other. Nothing more than alum strip that goes over the bolt to keep in place to whatever you torque them at. IMO...Exhaust warms up and after many miles, works the bolts loose just a little, then manifold cracks because of uneven pressure. Maybe there is another fix because TSB is real old. But the same problem of joining 2 different types of metal together with bolts that gets hot and then cools down.
