Craigs List Help

No, this has nothing to do with Class A Motorhomes.

I do ask this here because this is a group with extensive experience in all elements of the "buy and sale"...motorhomes or otherwise.

For reason which I do not understand, my CL account was flagged. If I did something wrong (I guess I did), is there anything I can do to get back in? There is no response to their email complaint or question system. I prefer to stay with my current email address although I realize I can just start over with a new address.

Sold a coach on CL, so obviously I do like the system.

Any ideas or direction?

Thanks, Don Parrish Phoenix
  • If you can't get someone to Un-flag it you'll have to start with a new email. CL is mostly run by volunteers so getting a response is difficult.
  • It's probably your ad that was flagged. Just reword it and post it again. That's what I did.
  • Just don't post it more then every couple of days and change the wording a bit each time. Some people out there get a kick out of flagging posts. Just redo the ad and I always checked mine every day or so until it sold. Never saw it as a problem.
  • Flagers Flag, That is what they do. There are people who only cause problems be it CL, RVN or any othere forum you read.
  • Yep Nothing you can do. Generally, if your ad is selling against another person, such as an RV dealership, and your RV is better or lower price, the competing dealer or individual will flag your ad.

It happened to me when I was selling a BMW 850CSI. I had to post twice a day.
  • Great advice. If I'm selling something serious, like a vehicle or RV, I know that the process will need a few minutes a day of effort to keep the posts current and protected from flaggers. I run the ad in all the local CL regions, as I am located in a real bad dead zone between three of them. I will change a word or two, and repost to get them back on top, and always repost to counter a scumbag that's flagging. Another tip is that I have frequently have had odd gaps in interest, so stick with it. I sold a travel trailer and a car recently that both were dead in the water for the first week to or two, then the hits came, and lots of them. I have no idea why, but sometimes that the way it is? Good luck.
