Crock pot?

Has anyone used their crock pot in the RV? I'm assuming its ok to use but just curious....
We are about to take our maiden voyage that's overnight and I'm planning the menu out.

  • We do so on a very regular basis. There is only one problem with it....
You end up stopping way too early for the day because of the aroma coming from the pot. :)
  • If it's a new camper to you I would make sure we were IN the TT (or at least hanging around) while the crock pot was cooking. It takes awhile to get the know the "personality" of a new (or different) RV. Better to be safe then sorry.... you want to be there if something malfunctions.

Also.. just me, but I'd want to be plugged in to shore power if I was using a regular slow cooker.

    Edited...
I had NO CLUE they make a 12 v slow cooker!! Something else I have to watch out for... hehe

  • Use mine almost every time we camp. It is great for making baked potatoes. Gonna make a big pot of stew beef on our next trip in two weeks. Also got a good recipe for crock pot cube steak off the recipe section on this forum. Gonna try it also.
