Crotchety old man

Soooo, I've finally earned this distinction, so says my significant other. Does that just mean I'm wiser? It's sorta crept up on me the last few years. Yes, it's getting worse. But I kinda of see it like a badge that needs to be earned. Not really a bad thing is it? I mean really ... Is it? It's just the stupid things, having to repeat myself more than two times before people listen, Dumb things people do, younger workers who only know a minuscule of what I've learned over 38 years - yet want to make as much as you and do nothing to learn it or earn it.

Does it get worse? Can anyone relate? Only 8 more years to retirement. I never used to be this way, I have always disliked mean people ... Ha ... Now it's starting to sound like I'm just one of them.

Oh man... I can't wait to get they MH out and hit the road. All will be well. :?

    Hey "lunch surfer" have you ever ridden AZ Forestry Road 300. It goes from Hwy 87 and 260 Junction near Payson across the Mongollon Rim to Heber/Overgaard Junction. A 2 day trip on Mtn Bike. But man the views can stretch it into 3 days so easily that you have to plan for that.

    If you are getting that way at just 44, you are really going to be bad. That is why I am so grouchy, putting up with kids like you.

    I am 44 and I am getting that way. I am afraid of how I will be at retirement age. I am getting less tolerant of young people and the focus on young people. age discrimination stupidity I think it is normal...

    As you start to realize that you have a lot more road behind you than you do ahead, you also realize there is a lot wrong with the world and since you are the only one who can fix it, and your time to do so is running out, you start to get impatient with all the dummies in the world because they just won't listen to you.

    Yes, as the appointed time draws closer and closer, you get more and more impatient.

    I decided I was going the same way; so I retired early am now full time in Moho. Changed my entire perspective. Now I think people actually may like me. I mostly boondock so I really don't care what those non-mobile people think. Let them rot in their s&b's!
    I'm such a nice guy now.
