We did a cruise/tour a few years ago on Holland America. Personally, I didn't like HA's formal dining reservation and seating practices. I'd MUCH prefer the free style dining that TexasShadow discusses above.
Once our cruise was over, we fly to Fairbanks and took the Alaskan Railroad down to Denali, and finally back to Anchorage. We toured glaciers, panned for gold, saw tons of beautiful sights and all types for flora and fauna.
It was an amazing trip, and we're heading back in 2015 with our FW and TV to spend the whole summer after I retire.
