Unless you are a "foodie" or a person who needs to be pampered, all the cruise line are very competitive in food quality and service. We went in July and near land the weather was constantly in the 70's, it was colder out at sea. We have been on many cruises over the years and say that Diplomat Don's assessment on age and cruise lines is close. There is also a relation to youth and trash not appearing in large numbers on the more expensive lines. When we went on the Alaska trip we went on one of the Crystal Line ships, I don't remember the food so much but the service was memorable. Alaska is well worth your time and wealth!
I believe if you have the correct mind set you can have a good time on a barge in the Mekong Delta, and yes I did!
