I built a fuse cutout switch to turn off the entertainment system etc when towing. Otherwise, the battery would only last 3-4 hours powering the brakes. The CRV owner's manual gives you the fuse number(s) to either pull or switch out, plus the engine startup procedure. I'm also not sure you can flat-tow any of the CRVs except the AWD models. Again, check your owner's manual.
