What about the rear mount?
Said another way, is there a way to mount the alternator such that the cooling fan can stay on the unit?
Wolfe- Thanks for the thoughts. The Delco 15SI has a 2" thick pivot mount. It's at the top in the 1st pic, and lower left in the bottom. The upper bracket is a yoke that fits around it. It would take a lot of surgery to move the alternator back. And then I'd have to space the pulley back out by the same distance to bring in line with the other pulleys. So this doesn't look like an easy approach to me.
