Cummins New 5.0 V-8 Diesel?

If it's 2-300lbs lighter than the 6.7l, that'll still put it around 8-900lbs, or 2-300-ish lbs heavier than the V10.

Ecoboost V6 already makes Ford V10 power anyway. I'd take it over the V10.

You are correct-- in that size truck they offered both Caterpillar and Cummins.

Just never in the E class/van used for "non-super" C's.

Nissan is not on an exclusive contract. They are however primary on the build allotment, so Nissan gets all they build, if they can sell them. If they can't cummins has to option to sell them to other buyers.

There is one fabricator near me who is planning on a 5.0 Cummins drop-in kit for the E-series, however Cummins hasn't been able to commit to supplying him yet (since Nissan still has time to fill their allotment) and he's finishing up on a Cummins 6.7L turn-key conversion package for the E-series currently. And also doing a build for SEMA.

I don't think you'll see Ford using Cummins engines any more, since they no longer use the B series in favor of their own 6.7 Powerstroke. They might make a smaller version, but I don't see them replacing the Triton V10 with a diesel, especially with CNG becoming more popular in the states in fleet usage.

I suspect this will replace the Ttiton as Have said several times on this Forums

Big Redneck, I thought the Scotty was a great RV and it is too bad that so many small motor home manufacturers have gone out of business! Personally, I like more variety and imaginative manufacturers! Bags.

I have a 1995 Dodge diesel 12 valve on a 0ne ton extended frame. Its a Scotty motor home. I get 14mpg running 65 to 70 on the highway. I don't know why the Cummins is not use in class C motor Homes. I have 61,000 miles on it with no trouble at all. There nothing out there to match it. When I pull the car trailer with a 40 Ford in the trailer the mileage does drop to 12mpg. I just replace the front brakes and exhaust. I would get a new Class C if it had a Cummins. But first I want to wear this one out. It only 20 years old and still looks new. We only put about 3,000 miles a year on it. I know I don't run as much as some of you. I still work taking care of my rentals and trailer park. I did buy it used paid 21,000 for it and it had 13,000 on it. It been garage kept since new. I change oil every 3,000 miles on it. It small enough that I can park about anywhere. Also my wife will drive it.
