Cyclone installation blocked by fan vent cover

Hi all,

I'm trying to install a cyclone sewer vent (http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/cyclone-sewer-vent/31992) and running into some trouble. The sewer vent pipe butts right up against the fantastic fan vent and the massive fan vent cover (something like this http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/black-maxxair-fanmate-ezclip-vent-cover/84026) actually hangs over the sewage vent pipe, leaving no room for the cyclone.

Does anyone have a good solution that keeps my vent covered and allows me to use the cyclone? My first thought was to use PVC fittings (elbows) to extend the sewer pipe out from under the the vent cover, but I'm afraid the longer, cattywampus pipe would reduce the effectiveness of the cyclone.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thank you for your time :-)
  • Wanderland....Don't forget, that pipe is about 8', so adding a few inches is no big deal. I would use two 45 angle pieces, getting it away from the vent and then making it vertical again.
  • It might be. I think however, I've come up with a simpler solution though. The Ultra Breeze vent cover from fan-tastic seems to have a small enough foot print that it should fit next to the cyclone. I'll let you know how it goes.
  • Instead of a full 90* elbow......would a 22 1/2* elbow give enough off set or even a 45*
