Dash cam

I want to buy a dash cam that is simple to use, is good for daytime and night time. Something that does not cost an arm and a leg and is simple to use as I am not that good in electronic stuff. Looking for something in the $100. range if that is possible. Like to get it before going to the rally.
I bought a cheap one about 2 years ago but I and some friends could never get it to work.
