Dash fans keep tripping breaker

When operating both of my dash fans, after about 5 minutes, the breaker trips and then will restart after about a minute or two. I removed both fans and they still looked new inside. Good brushes too. One fan runs a little warmer (89 vs 84),but I can't imagine this would be the problem. I ran both separately and the breaker didn't trip. The motor part # on the drivers side is 4000504. Any Ideas for a solution are appreciated. TIA

  • Haven't found the amp draw for the motor yet. Sent an email to Unimotor Breaker is 20 amp. Swapt out CB with another. Fans Just started doing this. Thanks

  • I would check the amps on each fan separately. It could also be that your circuit breaker is starting to fail.
  • Sounds like you figure it out. Too many amps draw for the installed breaker. What is the amp draw per fan. Did this just start or this way since new.
