Dead Batteries

I just purchased a new 2015 Newmar Mountain Aire 4501 in Oct. I keep it in a storage lot. After about 3 weeks I went to take it for a run. All the batteries were dead. I did put the house battery switch in storage mode and turn the chassis switch to off. I jump started the chassis batteries and got it started. Started the generator and let it run for app. 2 hours and still no power in the house. Called Newmar and was informed even if the batteries were turned off, it would be a drain. Its an all electric coach. I was told by Newmar that it shouldn't set more than 24 hours without being charged or plugged in to electric. What do you all do. thanks for the help.
  • Have a shop install a true battery disconnect on both sets of batteries - that will stop all electrical consumption flowing to anything. Yes you'll have to reset clocks and other things when you turn the batteries back on, but that's a lot easier than jump starting and the disconnects will cost less than replacing batteries.

Either that or disconnect the negative battery cables from both sets of batteries.
