8.3 liter displacement assures you that it is not a 260.
Most mechanical C8.3's were either 300 HP or higher.
The electronic ISC's (8.3 liter displacement) are greater than 300 HP.
The first years of the ISC series...they also had a 295 HP version along with their 330 HP. The 295 was std equipment in my own rig. - jvernonExplorerCummins said 8.3 isc 315 hp/950 lb torque Coach is 26k gvwr so it should run well

I looked at a monaco, dealer said it had the 260, i said no thanks. Then they call
and say it has the 315. The owners manual in the coach says 315 8.3 liter isc, how do i know for sure ?
When a dealer doesn't know what the engine is in a M/H I'd run like the wind.
True...we looked at a coach and the salesman raved about the Cummins in the coach, except the engine was BLUE!!!...:S...Dennis - Tom_BarbExplorer

- Executive45Explorer IIICall Monaco with the last 6 digits of the VIN. They will provide you with the engine number. Verify that the engine in the coach is the original. Call Cummins with the engine number and they can give you all the information you need on the engine....Dennis
