Dealer says 260 Now says 315 cummins

I have found when looking at motorhomes that I usually know more than the salesman does unless it is a small family run dealership.

The first years of the ISC series...they also had a 295 HP version along with their 330 HP. The 295 was std equipment in my own rig.

Cummins said 8.3 isc 315 hp/950 lb torque Coach is 26k gvwr so it should run well

True...we looked at a coach and the salesman raved about the Cummins in the coach, except the engine was BLUE!!!...:S...Dennis

I will call cummins Monday. ive read the 8th digit of the vin indicates the engine. on the rv I want to buy its a 1. I cant find the code as to what 1 represents assuming original engine.

Call Monaco with the last 6 digits of the VIN. They will provide you with the engine number. Verify that the engine in the coach is the original. Call Cummins with the engine number and they can give you all the information you need on the engine....Dennis
