To the original posting question without reading through all the replies.

My wife and I own what I consider to be one of the shortest/smallest rigs on the market when considering it has everything the big rigs have but in a small package without getting into impracticalities. It has....

- a real permanent double bed for a couple
- a nice size comfortable dinette
- a real bathroom with a toilet, sink, and separate shower
- an easy chair
- a decent galley
- a decent fridge
- decent inside and outdoor storage
- decent capacities for fuel, fresh water, waste water, propane, and two batteries for electrical needs
- aerodynamic
- easy to drive
- decent quality

It measures
- 23'-8" over-all length
- 93" wide (the rear view mirrors are extra)
- 9'-10" to the tippy-top of the a/c unit on the roof

The rear corner bed is not ideal, but it works for us. We love our Phoenix Cruiser 2350

I researched the Rialta but concluded there were too many novelty features that would be hard to depend on for regular use, especially for two adults together. I think the Rialta could work much better for a single traveler.

I thought pretty much everybody still made that same size/style MH ? I just saw Itasca, and most likely Winnebago has the same floor plan Itasca's is 23'8".
Years ago (1995) I had a Four Winds 21A with that floor plan and it was 22' long. They discontinued that model and now that floor plan is somewhere around 24' long.

Here's the shortest "full sized Class C" that I've found that still has a full-time bed available at coach floor level (it also has a good sized cabover bunk) ... a lot of motorhome in a small space. On the Ford chassis it's only 23'11" long:

P.S. Also note that outstanding fresh water capacity ... only the 24 foot Class C Lazy Daze and the 24 foot Class C Bigfoot (no longer available) fresh water capacities beat it!

The Leisure Unity 24IB has a full time bed.

We purchased a Triple E Regency GT24MB and are really enjoying it. At 24.5 ft. long it is small but has plenty of storage room. The murphy bed is so easy to set up and put away - takes only a minute, and is an actual queen size, walk around residential mattress - very good quality. It has a wonderful full bathroom across the back. The unit is very well made and is suitable for 4 season use.

This is our downsize from a 31 ft. Class A with a full wall slide. We just got tired of the bigger size and stress of driving it. This new unit is perfect
for us and we don't miss the A at all.

Keep in mind that there is no perfect RV for everyone - we all have our wants and wishes - keep looking and you will find what you think suits you. It took us 2 years to find ours.

Wife and I have a 35 footer very nice but some advise !
1. Don't get anything bigger than you can take care of.
2. Make sure you have a roomy bathroom .
3. A nice bed to sleep in.
4. A good place to park it.
5. Good power to weight ratio. you don't want a push and pray.
6. When you find what you want ask questions of people who own them.
7. A nice kitchen but I cook outside most of the time.
8. GMP's most are not good so if you are worried about the fuel you may want a popup and a car good on gas.

I can vouch for the motorhome looking large, no matter how small it is.

We recently bought our first motorhome - a used 29' R-Vision Trail lite. Never having owned an RV it seemed huge to us but it was the minimum size for our needs. It has 3 slides so we have plenty of floor space for our dogs.

The eye opening was when we stopped by the storage lot to put in some new purchases and saw a large 5th wheel was parked next to our motorhome! Ours looked like a Lego toy next to the 5th wheel. :eek:

In my opinion a 26-27 foot rig is best in that it can have a rear RV queen sized bed and adequate storage room in cabinets and in rear cargo compartment. Beginners are sometimes over-awed by RV's longer than 22 feet but the feeling goes away quickly. Parking at tourist attractions is not difficult, nor is parking in malls, etc. 22 footers are not short enough for most metered parking and too wide for other standard car parking lots unless you park in the outskirts. Class C's are too tall for most parking garages. 27 footers are not out of place in city parks,at airshows, and other activities where large rigs don't seem to fit in. Test drive and pretend to be camping in 21-27 foot dealer's demonstrators. Rent a 27 footer to get the feel of it if you can. Learn about the various brands and features and cost levels of the different floor plans. A few brands are considered "high end" and can cost $10K more than entry or medium cost brands and models. Slide-outs are nice but can add to mechanical and maintenance issues.

For your consideration:
1. Its hard to get it right the first time and even if you do as time passes your needs change. Recommend used...not overly expensive (that depends on the size of your wallet) as you will likely move to a different RV in a few years if you enjoy the life style.

2. Like the 22 to 23 ft units, but hard to get a rear bed model in that size.

3. Like the B+ as they are narrower and you can park a 26ft length wise in two parking spots at shopping centers and I believe it will fit across two parking meters on the street if you are down town. B+ are usually 8ft or less wide. Many of the C units are over 8ft wide which gets a little more difficult in parking situations.

At some point you just need to take you best shot and jump in, waters fine and lots of friendly people in the pool.
