DEF at fuel stops

On ours the DEF tank is on the passenger's side rear , so not too handy to fill in bulk at a truck stop.....bulk price for DEF is about $2.79 a gallon....My solution was to buy a 2.1 gallon gas can....and I will fill it at truck stop and then put in the RV when it is easy for me.....so I fill my DEF, when it reads 70%....about every other stop...works ok for us...Chuck

Click on the logo at the top of the page, (T/A Petro etc) will show location and diesel prices and if they have bulk DEF.

Just bought two 2.5 Gallon boxes at Walmart yesterday for $11.99 per case. Both boxes were clean and crisp as I guess that I am keeping the stock fresh. I believe that the brand is blue and that works out to $4.79 per gallon.

At the Flying J in Tampa , I paid $2.79/gal last week . I also fill up before going on a trip and carry a couple 1 gallon containers incase I get low and there isn't a source nearby.

2 1/2 gallon can is between $11 and $15. Bulk at the pump between $2.39 and $2.99 per gallon.

I've got one that's even easier. Plan on one gallon of DEF for every 50 gallons of diesel and you will be close enough.

An approach I use is to carry a 5 gal container clearly marked as def. Since my def tank is curbside and most truck stops only have streetside hoses I use the container to keep the tank topped off and refill when I prunella. To fill my 13 gallon def tank I either have to pull in to the bay in the opposite direction or use the filler in the next bay. I it's busy this can be difficult or impossible so the the 5 gallon container comes in handy.

I get about 4500 miles per tank of def. My experience has been that bulk def runs closer to $2.79/gal at most truck stops.

Last time I fueled at J it was 2.99 per gallon..I don't use it but I looked anyway...
