Guess this is a right of passage. After over a decade of owning RVs with slides, I caught the corner of the slide with my noggin. Had the slides out getting ready to head south. Didn't turn on the overhead light in the barn. Wife had asked a couple days ago, "Don't you want to put in the slides?"
When I hit the corner, my field of vision narrowed. Decided to go down on my own before I went down. My lights never completely went out, but it was close. Flopped around on the concrete for a minute or so saying things that can't be posted here. Could feel the blood running down my face. Applied pressure with a dirty paper towel from my pocket and stumbled into the house. Immediately applied ice.
Son of a motherless goat that hurt. Have a nice L shaped cut. Kind of looks like a divot in the 1st fairway. Probably needed a stitch or two. Saved the emergency copay and bought a bottle of Jack Daniels. Had a heck of a headache today.
Thank goodness I caught the slide with my head. Otherwise I might have been seriously injured.
I did this right after we stated rving and purchased some of these bad boys. Helps reduce the pain quite a bit.:R
