I have an LP genset at home but a diesel in the coach. Diesel is much better stronger and uses less fuel and you have more of it. I have a 198 gallon fuel tank in the coach and until I pulled it a 13 gallon propane tank. My old 99 had a 70 gallon propane tank with a 150 gallon fuel tank. The diesel ran quieter and longer and easier to refill. If you gave the choice go diesel but if price and floorplan is driving it an LP unit is ok if you are not going to use it much. There is no way I could run my unit easily as I do on LP. I turn on the genny when I pull out of the garage and turn it off when I get cross country in the summer. The last thing I want to do is find propane. That means five days or so on the whole time. Yes I leave it run when I fuel up too.
