Diesel pusher with no 50amp plug-in?

Hey good folks,
In the spring we're getting our first diesel pusher. We will be visiting our daughter in Reno. They live in a residential neighborhood and they have RV parking next to the house but no 50amp plug-in. How do I keep a diesel pusher going for a week with no 50amp plug-in? Any help will be appreciated.

~Thanks, John
  • Do like we did. Hire an electrician to install a 50 amp breaker box & plug for the RV. We did this at our daughters house and it makes it easy to visit. It's really cheap to do.
  • If you are coming in spring, no need for air conditioning. That will help. Minimal living can easily be done with a 20 amp plug.
  • Just get one of these and watch your power use.

  • Do you need air conditioning at that time of year? If not, a 15A line should run everything else. Go to the local RV store or WalMart and they'll have adapters to get your 50A down to a 30A and then down to 15A. If you need air, there's no way around at least 30A to run one A/C.
