Oh ok. From your original post I figured the propane was $3,000 or so. Well, I guess it comes down to how much you will use it. It's like figuring out energy requirements for any of these rigs. If you are plugged in all the time and just need it for rest stops when it's hot out or an occasional battery charge then the propane may be ok. If you will be using it a lot then the diesel will be better. If you are going off grid a lot and will need to charge your batteries then you also get into how efficiently you will be able to do it with the converter that comes in the RV or will you go to solar and an inverter.
Another issue is what brand is the propane generator? Generac or Onan?
What type of camping will you be doing?
