Dinete to reclining chairs? Anyone done this before?

They don't sell covers for those, you have to make your own or find a sewing person to make some washable slip covers. Pretty simple though. We did that but on the opposite side of a mini MH. We kept the dinette but built a box "bed" where there was a sofa we didn't care for. Then the bolsters make it usable as a sofa during the day time.

Thanks Snowman! I stumbled across this thread trying to do the same thing with my dinette. The couple that I bought my RV from had the dinette turned into a couch....but using body pillows behind the cushions.

I just bought two of those wedge-bolsters. I think that will be much more comfortable.

Alternatively, you can search the archives, older than one year, for posts by Gary Swanson, and Cheeze1, on the keyword dinette, Class C forum. I don't know if I have the username right for Gary Swanson but that's his real name. Gary made it into a U-shaped dinette, and Cheeze1 made his into a bed.

We have a couch with the water tank, pump ect under. Some of the RV couches are made with room under them and a front panel that screws on. I did not like the soft springs on it and picked up more and made it firm and reinstalled the same cover. Camping world sells them..

Ours came with a couch in place of a dinette and we love it . There is lots of room under the couch so I don't see why you couldn't fit the tank and electrical under the couch.

I was going to suggest a day bed arraingement with day pillows, but you beat me to it. That would make a nice place to sprawl out. And you get a whole lot of storage too.

I did it in our Winnebago 24V, but our floor under the dinette was flat. Sure do love the La-Z-Boy rocker recliners. Regards, Dick
