You can have high defination direct tv at home/ sticks and bricks. Get or keep a standard defination direct receiver for the RV and activate it and only pay for it for the time you are using the RV. I was quoted $6.00 per month for this. Your current rv antenna should work fins for this. I also carry an 18 inch manual set up dish for when satalite is blocked. I then get the locals in the RV over the air which are all high def and the best quality picture of all the options. If have any question about doing this with direct tv, call them and ask for the RV department, which is new in the last year or so.
