DirecTV on my old dish/LNB

I have a 10 year old Winegard crank up satellite dish setup in my motorhome. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to use my 6 month old home receiver/DVR with my old dish? Can't seem to get a straight answer from DirecTV.
  • Thanks, I'll look on the Winegard site and see if my older receiver is on the list. On edit, just looked, my old HR21 should still work. Thanks again!

Newer receivers do not work. If you know the model number of your antenna, there is a Directv receiver compatibility list on the www.winegard.com web site.

I had a new receiver in my house that I wanted to take back and forth with us when we traveled and it would not work, had to activate an older receiver and worked fine.

  • Crank up dish has always been used with my older DirecTV receiver.
  • You cannot use Directv receiver on a Dish satellite dish LNB, but not sure you were clear, is the crank up antenna a DISH or Directv?
