Not sure the best place to ask this but here goes. I am about to pull my hair out trying to get this receiver to work with the roof mounted Trac vision dish. At first I can get it locked on sat 119 run a check switch and get it to download the guide. But if I move it to sat 110 it will not pick up those stations without running another check switch test which in turns removes the previous one. So it takes about 15 minutes to change from one sat programming to the other. Customer service is not very helpful. Thier one suggestion was to let amother rver with a actual dish hook to my receiver and do a check switch test. That worked and I have all 3 sat listed now but when I hpoked it back up and locked on to 11o it goes to check signal and never finishes or makes it to download the guide and stops and says total signal loss. No obstructions and I haven't moved the coach. Anhone know a work around? Thanks Eric

First, that suggestion from KHV will not work...ever. It will be a different check switch type and of no value to a dome user.Second, Dish changed their broadcast signal rendering many dome style antennas useless without new software. You need to talk to KVH to see if your antenna can be re-programmed or whether the Dish changes has rendered your dome a brick.

I had a KVH on a 09' Pace Arrow that I sold 3 weeks ago. I had no issues with it and when I pulled in 119, I also had 110. The KVH had 2 coax connections at the dome. One was the master and one was the slave. Mine had the master ran to the front tv and slave to the rear tv. If I scanned from the front receiver, it brought in both satellites and I could switch back and forth through all channels If I scanned from the bedroom receiver which was connected to coax 2, I could only connect to one satellite and would have to re-scan to get the other. If you go to the roof and switch the 2 coax connections, I think you problem may be resolved.

The receiver connected to LNB 1(Master) will activate the Dome between Sats. Your 2nd receiver, regardless of the Check switch will ONLY receive what the Master Sat is locked onto. IF the Master switches Sats, you will lose the 2nd receiver channels, UNLESS you go into the 2nd Reciever set up and then manually switch to the Sat that the Master is ON. Doug

We have a carry-out, but have not used it since late August. We have the original DISH sat. dishes on our s and b, and they are working fine. These are from around 2000, or maybe 2 years earlier.Thanks, Jim
