DO I NEED A LADDER?
:h:hWE ARE NEW TO AN RV, HAVEN'T STARTED TRAVELING YET. WE HAVE A 35 FOOT, FLEETWOOD BOUNDER, CLASS A, GAS MOTORHOME. IT HAS A LADDER ON THE BACK LIKE MOST, BUT DO I NEED TO CARRY AN ADDITIONAL LADD...

Like others have said travel a bit before buying a ladder. I just had to have the double fold 7 foot ladder so I bought it. I will admit to using it once or twice a year, to change a porch light or clean something I can't reach otherwise. Getting it out is always helpful as it gives me an opportunity to rearrange the storage area where I keep it. I saw the hollow fence post picture above and may just have to get me one.
In my opinion it is a nice to have but not a must have. I'll bet I could find a helpful soul with a nice ladder on the back of his coach who would be glad to lend it to me long enough to change a light bulb, or repair a torn up awning.
