Do you carry a spare tire?

Our motorhome came with a full size spare mounted on the rear bumper. I took it off and put it under the rear queen bed because I couldn't get 4 bikes on the bike rack with the spare on the bumper without moving the tire in front of the license plate, which I figured would one day get me pulled over.

I wouldn't leave the driveway without a spare whether it was a car, truck, trailer or Motorhome.

I am in the same situation as others. Unusual size and load range.

I don't have a good spare ... YET. Someone mounted a rickety bumper carrier that I need to weld in a couple spots. Then I will always have a spare. Makes me nervous not to have one.

occasionally you may see one tied behind the cab or under certain trailers - but i can tell you those are are....especially as they move to "super singles".

not true...some of us don't have ROOM or a PLACE for spare tires & wheels....next time you see a tractor trailer look for the spare....very few have one.

road side assistance will bring you a tire & change the flat....in fact many will NOT mount your spare and they won't mount a steer tire on a drive line or vise versa.

they don't go "back to town" on anyones nickel - they bring the tire needed with them.

What kind of jacks do you use? I am thinking Harbor Fright hydraulic bottle with some stout decking boards as a base maybe.

Yes, and we've used it already...and now would never be without a mounted spare. We have roadside and used them for the change, but having that mounted spare meant that we were back on the road and on the way to the fun in about an hour vs. waiting around all afternoon trying to find an open shop with the right tire on a holiday weekend.

I carry a mounted spare tire/wheel. Jack, Stand, Blocks, Wrenches, etc. If there's somebody that can help, fine. If they had a tire, maybe that would be fine. But I want to be able to fill in any blanks, get something installed, and move on.

That's just Little OLD Me. My vote and a dollar might get you coffee. So instead, I offer this: EVERY RENTAL I've seen HAS A SPARE.

That alone should tell us something.

I carry an unmounted 22.5 spare in a bay. This started with a trip to Mexico where I was concerned about finding a spare. I took the spare my friend with a similar RV took the serpentine belt. In your class C, I suspect you have 19.5 tires, which are much easier to find on the road. If you had a blowout you could get a "truck" tire for short term replacement. Short term because the ride is definitely not as smooth, I tried once and ended up trading out the tires. Guess it depends on your budget. If you can handle the purchase of a new tire on short notice, and you are short of space, you probably can get away without a spare.
