Since I can easily slide under our coach with the jacks up, yes, I do sometimes work under it with it up on the leveling jacks to provide more comfortable working clearance. Even a highly unlikely total failure of all four jacks would not cause me any injury. If I'm going to be removing any wheels though, and need to get under the coach while they're off, yes, jack stands or cribbing get used every time.
