Do you know what's better than Red Velvet Cake?....

....HEATED FLOORS!!!!

We are parked where the high yesterday was 26 degrees. Today going just above freezing, lows in the low 20's.

If you are ordering or looking at a coach with heated floors, it's a must if offered. (if you enjoy winter camping).

We've never had them before and I'm amazed at how well they work to maintain temp. While traveling across the country, the low fell into the low 40's maybe upper 30's, the heated floors maintained 65 degrees inside (we have a wood floor).

At the current chilling temps, I have the two built-in electric heaters on (not on high) and the heated floors. The inside of the coach was 81 degrees. I had turned on the diesel furnace just as a back up but turned it off as it's not needed while connected to electric.

I just wanted to share our 'heated floor' experience as I've not heard many people mention it. A lot of upper mid and upper end coaches offer it since these coaches will have a hard surface floor.

Safe travels,
MM.

  • For now, I'll take the red velvet cake....

When we upgrade to a new coach in a few years, that is my must have as well....I've had to do winter camping and the coach has done well in low 20's temps with no issues and the right precautions...I have that fireplace which supplements the heat and it helps keep the living room tile to where you can walk on it.

What about putting a heated steering wheel on that British television set of yours?..that would make it stand out..

Glad to hear your new toy is doing well....I just bit the bullet on tires/batteries..so I'm good for a bit...
